ARTICLE SUBMISSION
 If you wish to submit articles to our publication please read, understand, and adhere to our guidelines. We're only as good as our writers, and if we all work together and in a timely fashion, success will be assured. Submissions are not guaranteed publication, however, we guarantee they will be carefully read and considered for our magazine. If an article is found suitable for publication, the writer will be informed of this decision, however, a definite publication date will not be given in order to avoid any complications.
Including your full name, address, phone number, and email address will serve as a release form, and give Spirit permission to publish your submission. Be informed that this will be your contractual agreement with Spirit “A Magazine Designed for the Diverse Woman.”

For your protection and ours, we ask that you follow the submission guidelines listed below for consideration for publication. Thank you
1. All submissions must be typed/word processed. Handwritten submissions will not be accepted to avoid any misinterpretation of information contained within the article. If you prefer to mail your submission please include, along with your hard copy, a copy of your article on a floppy disk. Due to the time constraints of our staff we simply cannot type everything sent to us. A little effort goes a long way for all concerned.

2. By submitting an article/piece, you state unequivocally that you are the sole author of said entry and that your submission has not been copied, forged, or plagiarized in any way from another source or party. If our staff finds articles that are copied, forged, or plagiarized they will not be accepted for publication.
3. All submissions must include contact information if it is to be considered for publication. This includes full name, address, telephone number, and valid email address. Spirit “A Magazine Designed for the Diverse Woman” will not, under any circumstances, give out anyone's personal information to third parties, so please know that privacy is well respected. Also, pen names are accepted for print, but we still require the aforementioned information in case we need to contact an author for revision or authentication purposes.
4. Please be mindful that this is a family-oriented magazine, so we ask that you refrain from using profanity, overtly sexual terms, graphic violence, etc. While there are exceptions to this rule (i.e. cases of physical abuse and the like that may best lend credence to a topic with somewhat "detailed" wording), we ask that you keep all entries free of gratuitous descriptions and never "write anything you yourself wouldn't want to read."
5. If articles are accepted for publication, author understands that his or her article will be subject to editing.
6. Articles have to be 1000 - 2000 words long.
